The ADAM-6700 series are compact programmable gateway/controller that comes with integrated IOs. ADAM-6717 comes with 8 Analog inputs, 4 Digital outputs and 5 Digital inputs, making ADAM-6717 very flexible and easy to use.
You can easily expand the number of IOs with modules from the other ADAM series. The ADAM-6700 series is easily programmed through the built-in Node-Red. Node-Red is a simple and easy-to-use tool even for those who have never done programming before. The ADAM-6700 series also comes with 2 LAN ports and 2 serial ports that support RS-485, and everything is easily accessible from Node-Red. The ADAM-6700 series can easily expand IOs by connecting the ADAM-4100 (Rev B) module through USB. It does not need an extra power supply and IOs from the ADAM-4100 can be retrieved directly into Node-Red in the ADAM-6700. ADAM-6700 is built for harsh environments with operating temperatures from -40 to +70 and can be used on operating voltage from 10 to 30 VDC. It's amazing what tasks these small devices can take on. Everything from controlling small processes to monitoring. Protocol conversion from special serial buses to Modbus-TCP/RTU or MQTT just to name a few. ADAM-6717 can collect data and distribute it to one or more MQTT servers. The possibilities are many with the ADAM-6700 series.

 

Applications

  1. In environment monitoring and management, ADAM-6717 can be used to test water quality, read changes in water pressure, and manage wastewater and air pollution. In energy management applications, ADAM-6717 can be used to monitor power consumption of residences, campuses, and factories to manage all power consumption and distribution, as well as compare results and analyze behaviours.
  2. Taking CNC equipment in an electronics factory production line as an example for factory management, ADAM-6717 detects all the operating data of the equipment and improves equipment utilization (OEE), as well as plans predictive maintenance.
  3. Target applications of AD-ADAM-67170 series include factory management, environment monitoring and management, and energy management.
