EvLAB is a complete educational system enabling to carry out all the tests planned for Laboratories of Physics, Chemistry and Biology Sciences. It includes some hardware instruments (Datalogger, sensors, etc…) for gathering data, and some software tools (Data acquisition, spreadsheet, charts, etc…) used for processing and as guide in the tests (Training Software). Both hardware and software tools offer characteristics of potentiality, ? exibility and expansion that make EvLAB an unmatched system on the market.


Datalogger mod. EV2010 has been designed to gather data simply and quickly from laboratory tests. It can be used in stand-alone mode, with quantities shown on the graphic display and commands set by a joystick. It can also be used in direct connection with a PC, via USB, to gather and process data (in digital and graphic form) via the software EVLAB Workspace.
The Basic Unit includes the sensors most frequently used in the experiments (voltage, current, electric power, temperature, luminosity, magnetic ? eld and pressure), but it can be extended
via the external connection of EVLAB Sensors. It is supplied with a 2 MB internal RAM memory for storing the acquired quantities. It includes high-resolution converters (12 bit) to ensure the
highest accuracy in measurements.

This data acquisition system, is the version of Datalogger mod. EV2010 without display and keyboard. It works with the software EvLAB Workspace, and it is compatible with the LabView applications. It can work alone or it can be used as expansion, with the Datalogger EVLAB, to increase the number of analogic and digital inputs available.

This is an independent equipment, with the same potentialities as  the mod. EV2010/EV. Tanks to the TTL logic lines, it can be used also for small experiments concerning process control and automation.With a speci? c software, it allows to drive relays and actuators. It is also able to receive information on ON/OFF sensors state (end of run, proximity switches, thermostat, pressure switches, maximum/minimum level sensors, etc…). The interface can work with all sensors/attuators with TTL logic input/output.

This application software allows to gather, process and analyze the data collecting during the experiments. It can support the dataloggers and all the sensors of EvLAB system. It consists of 2 kind of softwares:

• EvLAB Workspace

• EvLAB Workspace speci? c for each experiments





Generic data acquisition software that gathers data as function  of time. Its layout consist of - an exploration window on the left, where all the available sensors are represented, together with the mathematical, graphical and table processing tools;
- a window at the bottom of the page for messages;
- a window on the right for parameters, with all information on the calibration of instruments;
- superimposable multiple windows in the center, for tools, charts and tables.
This software enables to select the sensors for gathering the data of each test, besides the tables for grouping these data and the charts for their representation. All these data are saved on disk so that they can be retrieved in any moment, without being programmed again. Tests can be carried out in various modes: manual mode, time mode or automatic mode. Each sensor is equipped with a tool of its own on the screen where the acquired quantities are displayed in real time. Ranges can be modi? ed (where possible) and other parameters concerning measurement can be selected. The spreadsheet enables to gather data automatically in tables. More spreadsheets can be opened at the same time and the quantities having to be inserted in each spreadsheet can be selected. Moreover, some formulae for processing the gathered data and obtaining other quantities can be added in spreadsheets. 3 types of chart can be plotted:

  • chart in real time, that enables to display the quantities in graphic form, during their acquisition
  •  “historical” chart that enables to display the quantities gathered and stored in the Datalogger or in a ? le on disk, in graphic form
  •  chart from spreadsheet that enables to display the quantities available in the spreadsheet, in graphic form, and to select columns, axes of chart, ? elds of quantities, etc…

For each one of the experiments presented in the Physics, Chemical and Biology catalogues, where the Datalogger and speci? c sensors are required, Elettronica Veneta has designed
speci? c softwares. Each software contains a didactic section, that explains:

  •  the scienti? c principle to be demonstrated/experimented, the operative procedure for the preparation of the experiment, with demonstrative pictures and photos;
  •  the acquisition of the experiment ‘data with graphics in real time; •  calculations to be realized on the basis of experimental data, to con? rm the principle studied;
  •  questions and suggestions for students. The software becomes a valid support for the professor during the preparation of laboratory class.
